If you're looking for a podcast about solutions to our health care problems, then you're in the right place.

The Dose
is the Commonwealth Fund’s podcast that asks What can the U.S. do differently when it comes to health care? Join host Shanoor Seervai every other Friday for conversations with leading and emerging experts. This season we’re focusing on new ideas that could strengthen and improve health care for everyone.
Past guests have included:
  • Nick Watts, chief sustainability officer of the UK’s National Health Service. He talks about how the health system is trying to fight climate change, and whether these efforts could be replicated in countries like the United States.
  • Jamila Michener, associate professor in Cornell University’s Department of Government. She describes the tool she has developed to help policymakers identify when and how they should think about racism when they design social programs (like Medicaid).
  • Utibe Essien, assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. He explains how aiming for “pharmacoequity” – a term he coined – could help all patients, regardless of race, disability, or other characteristics, have access to the highest-quality medical therapies that meet their health needs.
Whether you're a health policy professional, policymaker, academic, or student — or just a curious individual looking to make sense of the U.S. health system — The Dose is for you.
